Stop Masking My ********* Password

Guess what web (and OS) developers? 99.9% of the time what I spend at a computer is either at home or at work - not in public. So is it really necessary to mask the password entry box 100% of the time? [Quick answer: NO].

Everyone is pushing complex, hard to type passwords, for good reason, but guess what? Now they are hard to type correctly. Follow Yahoo's lead and add an option to unmask the password. Or better yet, leave the password box unmasked and offer an option to mask on request.

But what if someone forgets to mask his password in a cafe and other people see it? Not my problem.
